The First Explorations
From the third month onward, your baby starts becoming more “present” in the world around it.
From the third month onward, your baby starts becoming more “present” in the world around it. It follows movements with its eyes, smiles, laughs out loud, grabs objects, and gradually begins to sit, crawl, and later—even stand!
Motor and Cognitive Development
The body strengthens every day. You may feel it’s making little “leaps”—yesterday it couldn’t grab a toy, and today it holds and throws it! Coordination, curiosity about everything, and the early development of speech (even through “ba-ba” and “ma-ma”) create the foundation for what’s ahead.
Relationships and Emotions
Your baby begins to show preferences, laugh at familiar faces, and feel comfortable in familiar environments. Your presence remains its most important shield—for both safety and encouragement.
What You Can Do:
- Play together—there is no more effective learning method.
- Give space and time for free exploration.
- Gradually begin weaning, always with pediatric advice.
This stage is an opportunity to strengthen the bond with your child, full of hugs, laughter, and… crawling chases on the floor!
